At Fosshaugane Campus, a new building in the northern corner is being completed, which is BREEAM certified. Inside the premises, they had challenges with poor sound. Flok & Fjell was commissioned to deliver acoustic panels to their canteen, where the design was to incorporate details of the colors on the walls, and have a landscape design.
The result is 2 acoustic panels that slide right into the architecture of the room, becoming part of the interior. The project demonstrates the combination of aesthetics and function in practice.
For the customer, it was important that flokk & fjell's sound absorbers are made from 100% natural materials, and local production was also something they emphasized. The panels capture a story of local craftsmanship and respect for nature.
Through a good collaboration with interior architect Rom for Forandring, the design of flokk & fjell's sound absorbers was adapted to fit in with the color palette and concept of the canteen.
