The project with OBOS Living Lab investigated how natural materials affect the experience of space in everyday life. Our handmade acoustic solutions made of Norwegian wool were installed in an inhabited apartment, where both the sound environment, the experience of the material and the interaction between people and their surroundings were observed over time.

The project included measurements and feedback from residents. The results showed, among other things, how acoustic measures and natural surfaces could contribute to quieter rooms and a more pleasant atmosphere in the home. At the same time, no clear changes in air quality or indoor climate were observed during this phase of the project.

For us, Living Lab has been an important first step in understanding how natural materials affect space and human well-being over time. The experiences from the project have provided a basis for further development and research, and we want to explore these connections further through future tests and laboratory work.
